Lions compete in Big Ten Championships in Ann Arbor
UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – No. 27-ranked Penn State Women’s Gymnastics is slated to compete in the 2025 Big Ten Championships in Ann Arbor, Michigan this weekend. The event will take place from March 21-22, with the Nittany Lions competing in the second session on Saturday at noon.

LAST TIME OUT
Penn State fell short of No. 26 Clemson (196.450) to close out the 2025 regular season, earning a score of 196.150. Despite the loss, the team placed first in vault and tied for first in uneven bars and beam.
VAULT
Fifth-year Maddie Johnston tallied a season-best score of 9.875 in vault to win the event. Nittany Lions Elizabeth Leary (9.775) and Izzy Salcedo (9.750) both placed in the top ten to record a score of 48.850 in the vault.
BARS
Penn State dominated in the uneven bars, with Gabrielle Gallentine and Dani Latronica tying for first with a score of 9.850. Four other Nittany Lions tallied scores of 9.8, good for a team score of 49.100.
BEAM
The beam team recorded their season-best score of 49.225 in the event against Clemson. Ashley Maul, Izzy Salcedo, and Maddie Johnston all tied for first place with a high score of 9.875, with Alyssa Kramer coming in behind them with a 9.850.
FLOOR
Freshman Bella Misiura shined in her debut for the Nittany Lions on the floor, recording a high 9.825. The six Penn State floor competitors were all underclassmen who gathered 48.975 on the night.
