Four Altoona men charged with drug possession
LEWISTOWN — On Friday, March 14 Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown conducted a traffic stop on a 2017 black Ram truck at around 5 p.m. on US Highway 22 west, Fermanagh Township.
The report states that officers found the four passengers to be under the influence of controlled substances.
Braden Gray, 20; Anthony Gray, 41; Alfredo Lopez, 48 and Joseph Quarello, 37, all of Altoona were charged for this through District Court
Teen cited for disorderly conduct
MIFFLINTOWN — According to a report issued by Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown, officers responded to the Juniata County High School on Tuesday, March 18 around 12:30 p.m. for a report of disorderly conduct. A 17 year old male of Port Royal was charged for this incident.
Driver cited in Sunday crash
MIFFLINTOWN — On Sunday, March 16, officers responded to a one-vehicle crash on US Highway 22 just east of Cuba Mills Road, Fermanagh Township.
According to the report a 2006 Toyota Corolla operated by Lea Burge, 42, of Lewistown, was traveling westbound at around 5 p.m. when the vehicle began to hydroplane.
As the vehicle was traveling from the right lane to the left lane it rolled coming to final rest on its wheels against an embankment.
The vehicle sustained sibling damages. Burge was wearing her seatbelt and was transported for treatment for suspected injuries.
Three involved in vehicle accident
MIFFLINTOWN — On Sunday, March 16 Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown responded to a vehicle accident at around 4:30 p.m.
According to the report, a 2023 Tesla operated by Daniel Francis, 53, of Monkton was traveling in the right lane when he lost control and spun out before coming to final rest after striking a concrete barrier.
No injuries were sustained by Francis or passengers, Allegra Franics, 19, of Monkton, or Vincent Pilone, 22 of Alexandria. No charges were filed.
Hydroplaning causing vehicle accident
MIFFLINTOWN — Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown responded to the report of a one-vehicle crash on Sunday, March 16 around 5:30 p.m.
The report states that a 2025 Chevrolet Silverado was traveling north in the area of the intersection with cuba Mills Road, Fayette Township when the driver, Kevin Campbell, 61 of McAlisterville, related that he hydroplaned losing control of his vehicle and leaving the roadway.
The vehicle received disabling damages and was towed from the scene by Geedys Towing.
Campbell and his passenger, Janet Fisher, 65, of McAlisterville, were wearing their seatbelts and remained uninjured. No charges were filed.
Two charged with harassment with physical contact
LEWISTOWN — On Wednesday, March 19 officers from Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown responded to the 300 block of Terrace Boulevard for a welfare check at around 2 a.m. Once on scene troopers discovered a domestic dispute had taken place.
According to the report Yvonne Baumgardner, 61, of Lewistown had shoved Matthew Traxler, 62, of Lewistown, and Traxler grabbed Baumgardner’s arm in return resulting in both being cited through District Court.
