Board of Directors approves coaches
MIFFLINTOWN — The cooler nights mean that the tipoff for high school winter sports season is not far away.
With that in mind, the Juniata County School District Board of Directors approved a long list of coaches for air rifle, basketball, bocce, cheerleading and wrestling, along with game staff, at their regular meeting on Thursday night at the administration building in Mifflintown:
Air rifle
• East Juniata High School: Danny Reed, head coach; and Seth Mattern and Courtney Whitesel, volunteer coaches.
Bocce
• Juniata High School: Emma Arentz, head coach.
Boys basketball
• East Juniata High School: Chris Lenig, head coach; Tyler Erhard, assistant coach; and Tyler Dressler, volunteer coach.
• Juniata High School: Al Ream, head coach; and Scott Clark, Tyler Clark, Jacob Condo and Alex White, volunteer coaches.
• East Juniata Junior High: Wes Rickenbaugh, head coach.
• Tuscarora Junior High School: Ben Lauver, head coach;
Boys wrestling
• Juniata High School: Anthony Conte, assistant coach; and Bob Hart, Fletcher Hart, Johnny Kauffman and Derek Ricker, volunteer coaches.
• Tuscarora Junior High School: Dylan Treaster, head coach.
Cheerleading
• East Juniata High School: Kim Miller, head coach; and Carrie Woodward, volunteer coach.
• Juniata High School: Marissa Boyer, assistant coach; and Hayley Barnes and Holly Boone, volunteer coaches.
Girls basketball
• East Juniata High School: Laurel Amey, head coach; Matt Ritzman, assistant coach; and Thea Neimond and Stephanie Wagner, volunteer coaches.
• Juniata High School: Hannah Geedey, head coach; Becca Zendt, assistant coach; and Bruce Brumbaugh, Grace Brosius, Rylee Duck, Jim Fosselman, Olivia Frierson, Andrea Imes, Linsey Landis and Ellie Shepps, volunteer coaches.
