McClure teenager injured in accident

MCCLURE — A McClure teenager was transported to the hospital after suffering suspected minor injuries from a one-vehicle accident along Stage Road in Spring Township at 2:01 a.m. on Aug. 21, according to a Public Information Release Report issued by Pennsylvania State Police at Selinsgrove on Thursday. Dakota J. Barger, 19, was traveling in a 2004 Ford F-250 Supercab westbound on Stage Road at a high rate of speed when he failed to negotiate a left curve, police said. Barger traveled onto the right shoulder then left over both lanes of travel, police said. He traveled swerved along the roadway and eventually overturned onto the vehicle’s side and slid along the highway, police said. The vehicle eventually stopped on the roadway, police said. The report indicated Barger was not wearing a seat belt and he was transported by Beaver Springs Ambulance. Police said Barger was cited for driving with a suspended or revoked license.

sexual assault of child

LEWISTOWN — Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown continues to investigate an alleged sexual assault of an unidentified one-year-old male on Deamer Lane in Walker Township between 8 a.m. Feb. 1, 2020 and 9:38 a.m. on July 31, 2024, according to a Public Information Release Report issued on Wednesday.

Lewistown teenager cited for disorderly conduct at New Day Charter School

MIFFLINTOWN — An unidentified 15-year-old male from Lewistown was cited for disorderly conduct by Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown after an incident at the New Day Charter School in Mifflintown, according to a Public Information Release Report issued on Wednesday. The incident took place at 10:36 a.m. on Wednesday.

Two McClure men charged with burglary

LEWISTOWN — An unidentified 46-year-old male and unidentified 20-year-old male, both from McClure, were charged with burglary after Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown responded to a reported burglary on Back Maitland Road in Decatur Township at 5:19 p.m. on Tuesday, according to a Public Information Release Report issued on Wednesday. The victim was an unidentified 66-year-old female from McClure, police said. The two men damaged a white front door, police said.

McAlisterville teenager charged

with DUI after traffic stop

MIFFLINTOWN — Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown conducted a traffic stop of Merellin Shenk, 18, of McAlisterville, at 11:52 on Aug. 25 and after an investigation charged the Juniata County teenager with driving under the influence, according to a Public Information Release Report issued on Wednesday. Shenk was driving a 2002 Volkswagen Jetta on Cedar Springs and Long roads in Walker Township, police said. Shenk appeared before Magisterial District Judge Tracy L. Powell.
