Juniata Co. 4-H members qualify for state show

CENTRE HALL — Five Juniata County Horse and Pony Club Members have qualified to exhibit at the PA State 4-H Horse Show.

Qualifiers include:

Avary Chubb (riding Coola Soula)- 1st in Bow-Tie Race Ponies (8-13), 3rd in Barrel Race Ponies (8-13), 5th in Ranch Riding (8-13). Chubb also competed in Pole Bending Ponies, Raised Box Keyhole Ponies and Western Grooming and Showmanship (8-11).

Aspen Hoffman (riding Trips Rockin Bar) – 5th in Beginner Western Horsemanship, 6th in Beginner Trail.

Adalynn Junk (Riding Chocolate Milkshake)- 3rd in Low Equitation Over Fences (8-13), 4th in Hunter Hack Ponies, 4th in Hunt Seat Under Saddle Ponies, 6th in Low Working Hunter Ponies.

Madelyn Kerstetter (riding Lilly the Filly) – 3rd Ranch Pleasure (8-13), 3rd in Ranch Riding (8-13). Kerstetter also competed in Western Grooming and Showmanship, (12-14); Western Horsemanship (12-14); and Open Trail Horses, (8-13).

Shyler Zimmerman (riding Sheza Midnight Jet)- 3rd in Beginner Trail, 4th in Beginner Western Horsemanship. Zimmerman also competed in Beginner Western Pleasure.

Other District V Horse and Pony Show competition:

Camila Firment (riding Ace)- Western Grooming and Showmanship (8-11), Beginner Trail, Beginner Western Horsemanship.

Grace Reinford (riding Brooks)- Beginner Western Pleasure.

Lilyann Shelley (riding Hesa Sting Man)-Western Grooming & Showmanship (12-14), Ranch Riding (8-13), Barrel Race Horses (8-13), Raised Box Keyhole Horses (8-13).

The PA State 4-H Horse and Pony Show is scheduled for October 25-27, 2024, at the State Farm Show Complex in Harrisburg.
