Child struck by vehicle

Emergency crews work at the scene of a pedestrian accident Monday afternoon on Glenwood Avenue, Derry Township. Cpl. Art Stanton, of Mifflin County Regional Police Department, said a 7-year-old boy, of 1951 Glenwood Avenue, was riding on a skateboard when he traveled into the road and was hit by a Ford F-250. Stanton said the juvenile was flown via Life Lion to Hershey Medical Center. Stanton said the boy was stabilized with injuries including head trauma and multiple fractures.
