John E. Fetters, Sr., 61, of Mifflintown, died at 4:50 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2014, at his home.
Born Sept. 12, 1952, in Lewistown, he was a son of the late Earnest G. Sr. and Inez V. (Manbeck) Fetters.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Penny Fetters.
John is survived by: his wife, Carlene D. (Yocum) Fetters, whom he married on April 18, 1971; his son, John E. "Skinny" Fetters Jr. and companion, Susan G. Bender-Armstrong, of McClure, and Lisa A. Bunch and husband, Steve S., of Burnham; four grandchildren, Kristian Frankhouser and wife, Lacey, Dustin Fetters and wife, Tawni, Alysha Bunch and Derek Deamer; one great-grandchild, Cloe Frankhouser; and his siblings, Earnest G. Fetters Jr., of New York, and Terry Fetters and wife, Virginia, of Arizona.
John was a 1972 graduate of Penn Highlands High School.
He was a truck driver. John had worked at Busy Beaver, AMP Market and Fisher's Electronics.
He was a member of Bethel A.M.E. Church.
John enjoyed spending time with his family. He especially enjoyed the holidays when everyone was together.
There will be no services. Arrangements are being handled by Hoenstine Funeral Home Inc., 75 Logan St., Lewistown.
