Jean L. Beaver, 82, formerly of Burnham, died at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2014.
Born Feb. 22, 1932, in Sand Banks, she was the daughter of the late William R. and Ruth M. (Burkheiser) Lewis.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, James C. Beaver, on April 17, 1995; three brothers, R. Jay, Richard D. and William R. Lewis; and a son-in-law, Robert Lauver.
Jean is survived by: her daughters, Joetta Lauver, of Milroy, Deborah Layton and husband, Richard, of Cave Creek, Ariz., grandchildren, Rachel M. Lauver Fultz and husband, Wesley A., of Milroy, Clinton R. Lauver, of Greensboro, Md., Abigail P. Lauver Goss, of Lewistown, Todd Egger, of Selinsgrove, and James Layton, of Cave Creek, Ariz.; great-grandchildren, Emari Hughes, Michi Egger, Eddie Layton and Jake Layton; and a brother, Warren L. Lewis and wife, Nancy, of Marysville.
She was a 1950 graduate of Burnham High School and graduated from Ken Delle Beauty School.
She was employed at the Arrow Shirt Factory until their closing and then worked part-time at Jane's Glamour Salon and Trinity Packaging Corporation.
She was a member of the Burnham Church of the Brethren, where she served on various committees through the years.
A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 9, 2014, at the Burnham Church of the Brethren, with the Rev. Ken Wagner officiating. Private interment will be in Lind Memorial Cemetery.
