BEAVER SPRINGS - Thomas E. Kline Sr., 86, of Ridge Road, Beaver Springs, passed away at 4:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 30, 2014, at Select Specialty Hospital in Danville.
He was born Oct. 13, 1927, in Beaver Springs, a son of the late Roy C. and Prudie (Wagner) Kline. On Jan. 13, 1951, he married Corinne "Teny" (Halye) Kline, who survives.
Mr. Kline attended Beaver Vocational school.
After school, he served in the Army Air Corps during World War II.
Tom worked his whole life as an auto mechanic at his family's business Kline Motor's Inc.
Mr. Kline was a member of Christ Church in Beaver Springs.
In his spare time, he loved cars and especially playing golf.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by: two sons and daughters-in-law, Douglas R. and Jill Kline, of Beaver Springs, and Thomas E. Jr. and Sandy Kline, of McClure; grandchildren, Dillon T. Kline, of McClure, Ayesha Berrier and spouse, Gary, of North Carolina, and Tasha Robey, of Tennessee; one step-grandson, Jerre Thomas and wife, Stephanie, of Beavertown; great- grandchildren, Garrett Berrier, of North Carolina, and Curtis Smith, of Tennessee; and one step-great-grand- son, Landen Thomas.
Mr. Kline was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 2, 2014, at Christ Church in Beaver Springs, with Pastor Jim Matthews officiating.
Friends and family will be received from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday, at the church.
After the service, burial with military honors will take place in Adamsburg Cemetery.
Arrangements are by Pheasant Funeral Home, 316 W. Market St., Beavertown.
