Douglas C. Treaster

REEDSVILLE - Douglas C. Treaster, 51, of Reedsville, passed to his eternal home at 3:08 a.m. Tuesday, July 29, 2014, after an extended illness.

Doug was born Oct. 23, 1962, in Lewistown, to Harold and Judy Treaster, of Milroy, who survive.

In addition to his parents, Doug is also survived by: his loving wife and best friend of 28 years, Robin (Johnson) Treaster; children, Shawn Shreffler and his wife, Jenny, and Jennifer Ruble and her husband, Andy, all of McClure; grandchildren, Haylee and Hayden Shreffler, Rayne, Rylee and Reyawna Boyer and Ryder Ruble; two brothers, Harold and Paul Treaster, both of Milroy; a sister, Margaret Fike, of McVeytown; several nieces and nephews; and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.

Doug was a graduate of Kish High School.

He owned and operated Village Custom Kitchens in Milroy.

Doug was an avid NASCAR fan; Bill Elliot was his man. He was a proud supporter and member of the NRA. One of Doug's greatest past times was to drive and adore his 1970 Plymouth Cuda. Doug had a great love for his grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them.

A service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 31, 2014, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes Inc., Woodlawn, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown, with Pastor Jeannine Berube officiating.

The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.

Interment will take place in Juniata Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lewistown Home Nursing Agency, Hospice, 129 S. Main St., Suite T, Lewistown, PA 17044.
