MILROY -Levittown (District 3) advanced to the 14-year-old Babe Ruth state final with a 5-4 win over Altoona on Monday night at the Armagh Memorial Field.
Levittown will play West End of Williamsport, a 14-4 winner on Monday at 6 p.m. today for the state title.
Levittown scored three runs in the sixth and one in the seventh to edge Altoona (District 8).
Nate Erhard had a two-run double in the sixth and Gary Minnes had the game-winning RBI in the seventh. The winning pitcher was Nick Price.
Tyler Peterson and Jacob Huber each had two hits for Altoona.
In the 13-year-old Babe Ruth state final in Altoona on Monday, Broomall-Newtown beat Altoona, 6-1. It was Broomall-Newtown's seventh state title and the fifth one at 13-year-old level. Broomall's last 13-year-old title came in 2005.
