Lewistown Police Department
Domestic disturbance- 7:30 p.m. - July 1 - While responding to a report of a domestic disturbance at a residence along Clarion Alley, police said William Leach, 51, was found to be under the influence of alcohol. According to a report, it was discovered this was a violation of his parole. Police said Leach was arrested and placed in the Mifflin County Correctional Facility on a probation violation.
Public intoxication - 10:30 p.m. - July 2 - Police said they arrested Scott Powell, of Granville Township, for public drunkenness. According to a report, a further investigation revealed that Powell was wanted on a parole warrant out of York County and was placed in the Mifflin County Correctional Facility.
DUI - 11 p.m. - July 3 - Police said Orlando Crespo, 45, of
Derry Township, was found to be driving while intoxicated during a drunk driving patrol.
DUI - 12:30 p.m. - July 4 - Police said Michael Gilson, 38, of Thompsontown, was stopped while driving erratically and crossing double yellow lines on the road. According to a report, Gilson was subsequently arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.
Accident - 5 p.m. - July 5 - Lewistown Borough Police said they received a report from state police of a Ford Explorer driving erratically on U.S. 522. According to a report, the Explorer, driven by Shawn Fye, 43, of Lewistown, was involved in an accident with another vehicle, driven by Cindy Shumaker, of Granville Township. Police said Fye was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
Warrant arrest - 7:30 a.m. - July 7 - Police said Cody Shawver, 25, of Lewistown, was arrested on an outstanding bench warrant and was placed in the Mifflin County Correctional Facility.
