To the editor:
It's official. The goal has been attained! The annual fireworks presentation is reality.
The location is the same as the past few years; along the entrance road to MCIDC Plaza, directly across the Juniata River from Victory Park. The date and time are Saturday, July 5 at dusk (about 9:30 p.m.) with a rain date of Sunday, July 6.
WCHX, WKVA & Star County Radio will be hosting local acoustic musicians, free kids activities and food booths from local non-profit organizations at the park from 5 to 9 p.m. that evening, so arrive early and make it a great celebration of America's 238th birthday.
The fireworks are possible thanks to the generous donations from the businesses, clubs, churches, organizations and individuals listed below. Be sure to thank them personally.
