Niemond's church to host Heritage Day
RICHFIELD - Niemond's Independent Church is hosting its annual Heritage Day celebration beginning at 4:30 p.m. June 21 at the church, along Route 35 in Richfield. Free food will be available until 6 p.m. Local talent will perform and children's' games will be offered from 6-7 p.m. A concert by Paradise Quartet will begin at 7 p.m. in the sanctuary. Re-Creation to sing at Millerstown church
MILLERSTOWN - Re-Creation is scheduled to sing during a worship service set for 9:45 a.m. June 22 at Millerstown United Methodist Church.
The group represents Re-Creation USA Inc., which provides entertainment programming for veterans affairs medical centers in the United States. The group typically consists of eight singers and one or two technicians.
There is no admission charge, but a free-will offering will be received.

Concert benefits Penn Valley Christian Retreat
BELLEVILLE - The Sharon Bethel Quartet, of Kalona, Iowa, will sing at 7 p.m. Thursday at Valley View Amish Mennonite Church, 110 Applehouse Road, Belleville. The quartet, plus one, has been singing together since 1994 and has recorded six albums. They sing a variety of songs a cappella, including southern gospel and traditional hymns. A freewill offering will be received for the ministry of Penn Valley Christian Retreat.

LEWISTOWN - Dave Hartsock, a country gospel singer, is scheduled to perform at 8:30 a.m. June 29 at Millerstown United Methodist Church.
The Way church to hold Prophecy Sunday
McVEYTOWN - Prophecy Sunday is scheduled to be held at 10:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. June 29 at The Way Bible Church, 2777 Ferguson Valley Road, McVeytown. The speaker will be the Rev. William Wollett. Church to celebrate Independence Day
SIGLERVILLE - The White Memorial Congregationalist Church will hold an Independence Day program on July 6. Regular worship is set for 9:30-10:15 a.m., and "Faith of Our Fathers," a special presentation, is set for 10:15-10:40 a.m. A picnic lunch will be held after worship.
Mifflintown church holding summer camp
MIFFLINTOWN - A summer day camp, sponsored by Centre Lutheran Church in partnership with Camp Mount Luther, is set to be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 7-11 at the church, in Mifflintown.
Children who have complete kindergarten through sixth grade are welcome to attend.

Local hymn sing to benefit health clinic
BELLEVILLE - A Big Valley Community Hymn Sing is set for 7-8:30 p.m. Aug. 10 at Big Valley Brethren in Christ Church, in Belleville. An offering will be received for the Central Pennsylvania Clinic for Special Children and Adults. Donations are tax deductible and will be matched by the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh.
