LEWISTOWN - Ruth C. Haldeman, 90, of Grand Parkway, Lewistown, went to be with her Lord Wednesday, June 18, 2014, at Ohesson Manor.
She was born Oct. 3, 1923, in Harrisburg, and was the daughter of the late Frank and Bertha (Wagaman) Powers. Ruth is survived by her husband, Carl Haldeman, whom she married in 1963.
Also surviving are: children, William E. Creamer and wife, Nancy, and Barbara Ann (Creamer) Cohen and husband, Eugene, both of Lancaster; and a grandson who she was very proud of and helped raise, Shane W. Cohen, of Lewisburg.
She was preceded in death by her brother, William Powers.
Ruth was a member of the Lewistown Presbyterian Church and a 50-year member of James Bachanan Chapter of Order of Eastern Star in Lancaster.
She attended Lititz High School. Ruth worked at Farmer's Bank of Lititz and as a customer service representative from 1958 to 1972. She liked to read, wear high heels and spend time with family and friends.
Ruth's funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 23, 2014, at Barr Funeral Home Inc., 120 Logan St., Lewistown, with the Rev. James Thomas officiating. Interment will take place at Conestoga Memorial Park in Lancaster.
A visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday, at the funeral home.
