MIFFLIN - Larry Lee Street Sr., 66, of the Locust Grove Retirement Village, Mifflin, and formerly of Thompsontown, died at 11:27 a.m. Saturday, June 7, 2014, at the Village.
Born on June 23, 1947, in Paris, Ill., he was a son of the late Hartley L. and Berthelda Jane (Switzer) Street. His wife, Evelyn (Kephart) Street, preceded him in death.
He is survived by: his children, Larry Street Jr. and his fiancee, Linda Risban, and Janelle Jones and her husband, James, all of McAlisterville; a stepdaughter, Deana Brittain and her husband, Mike, of Yeagertown; siblings, Ronald Switzer, of Palmyra, Va., Gary Street, of Lewistown, James Street, of Rockville, Md., Donna Worley, of Lewistown, Lesa Street, of Harrisburg, and Lana Ferguson, of Thompsontown; and he leaves behind 15 grandchildren.
One grandson, Blake Shelton Solt, preceded him in death in 2005.
Mr. Street proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy.
Larry Lee was an avid outdoorsman, who loved sprint car racing and spending time with his family, especially his grandkids.
Funeral services will be private.
A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 10, 2014, at Brown Funeral Homes Inc., 100 Bridge St., Mifflintown, where the Juniata County Veterans Council will accord full military burial honors at the conclusion of the viewing.
