LEWISTOWN - Donata L. McKnight, 55, of Lewistown, was called home by her precious Savior and friend at 7:18 a.m. Thursday, June 5, 2014, at her home.
Born on Aug. 8, 1958, in El Paso, Texas, she was a daughter of Robert W. Roan Jr. and the late Minnie M. (McCalips) Mowery.
In addition to her father she is survived by: her husband, Jeffrey McKnight; children, Curtis McKnight and wife, Tiffany (Rudy) and son, Colton Lynn, Megan McKnight and companion, Jordan Herb; and grandsons, Jayden Paul McKnight and Josiah Scott Herb; and a sister, Roberta Casner and husband, Eldon, all of Lewistown.
Donata was a graduate of Chief Logan High School, class of 1976 and vocational technical school in 1981 for LPN.
She was an LPN at Geisinger Medical Group in Lewistown.
Donata was a member of Granville United Methodist Church.
One of Donata's passions was caring for people. She loved her church family and her heart belonged to her children. She and her husband volunteered at the LUMINA Center. She also enjoyed Bible study, piano, reading and spending time with her family. Her family was her life. She wants everyone to celebrate her life and praise God for eternal life.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 9, 2014, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Inc., Woodlawn, 200 N Main St., Lewistown with Pastor Ted Corcelius officiating.
A viewing will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, June 8 at the funeral home.
