LEWISTOWN - For new moms, the summer can be a tricky time to keep babies safe and comfortable. If a baby is overdressed, he could develop a heat rash. Underdressing or exposing his body to the elements can cause a damaging sunburn or heatstroke. Overheating has also been linked to sudden infant death syndrome. When babies are hot, they sleep more soundly, making it difficult to arouse them.
