LEWISTOWN - Mary Phyllis Vogt, 84, of Lewistown, passed away on Wednesday, May 28, 2014, at her residence.
Born on April 27, 1930, in Lewistown, she was the daughter of the late Vyrle Boring and Mildred (Chester) Boring.
She is survived by: her husband of 63 years, Dale E. Vogt, of Lewistown; daughter, Vicki Vogt Esterline and husband, Gary Esterline, of Lewistown; a son, Thomas Vogt and wife, Barbara (Smith) Vogt, of Allentown; a sister, Lois (Boring) Reese; grandchildren, Erika Esterline Stauff and husband, Michael, of Boylston, Mass., Aaron Esterline and wife, Lizzie, of Lewistown, Nathan Vogt and wife, Cheny, of Houston, Texas, and Jennifer Vogt, of Wilmington, Del.; and three great-grandchildren, Kade Stauff, Nora Esterline and Conlan Stauff.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Doris Boring and brother, Vyrle Boring Jr.
Mary was a case worker at the Mifflin County Assistance Office, retiring in December 1991. She was a lifelong member of St. Johns Lutheran Church and attended Ellen Chapel Church in Ferguson Valley.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday June 1, 2014, at Ellen Chapel Church, with Pastor Mark Hill officiating. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family in Mount Rock Cemetery.
