FORT WALTON, Fla. - Hope M. "Bunny" Kibe, 61, lost her long and courageous battle with PSP, progressive supranuclear palsy, on Sunday, May 25, 2014, at her home in Fort Walton, Fla.
Born on April 27, 1953, she was the daughter of Melton and the late Pauline Parker, of Fort Walton, Fla. She is survived by her husband, Jeff Kibe, formerly of Milroy, whom she married on Oct. 7, 1982.
Bunny is also survived by: son, Nicholas, of Fort Walton, Fla.; daughter, Jessica, of Fort Walton, Fla.; sisters, Barbara Jemigan and Patricia Goodhart; and brother, Robert Parker.
Bunny's extended family from Pennsylvania include: father-in-law, the late Floyd Kibe, mother-in-law, Gladys Kibe, of Valley View Haven; Jeff's sister, Sandy Treaster and her husband Dale; brothers, Don Kibe and wife, Mary Lou, Mike Kibe and wife, Sue, Brian Kibe and Greg Kibe; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She taught second grade and Title 1 at Ocean Elementary School for 30 years, retiring in 2006.
