SHIPPENSBURG - Richard "Dick" Kenneth Criswell Jr., 85, of Shippensburg, died Thursday, May 22, 2014 at his residence.
He was born Nov. 18, 1928, in Lewistown, the son of the late Richard and Grace J. (Corson) Criswell, Sr. Dick is survived by his wife, Kay (Johnson) Criswell, whom he married Dec. 30, 1986.
Also surviving are: children, Paul Masters, of Texas, Elaine Templin and Steven Criswell, both of Hummelstown, David Criswell, Lorraine Miley, of Chambersburg, and Donnie and Greg Pyne, of Newburg; sisters, Eleanor Weber, of Mechanicsburg, Roxie Hetrick, of Linglestown, Linda Blose, of Hanover and Jackie Jones, of Harrisburg; nine grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, Richard K. Criswell III, grandson, Derek J. Smith, and sister, Wanda Knackstedt.
Dick was a truck driver for Roadway.
He served in the United States Navy and Marines during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of VFW #148 Harrisburg and past commander of the American Legion Post 1001 in North Harrisburg.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 27, 2014, at Barr Funeral Home, Inc., 120 Logan St., Lewistown, with the Rev. Randy Traxler officiating. Interment will be in Mount Rock Cemetery.
A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday, at the funeral home.
