LEWISTOWN - Jane E. Seager, 92, of Lewistown, passed away Wednesday, May 21, 2014, at Golden LivingCenter-William Penn.
She was the daughter of the late William E. and Stella (Snook) Lash.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Seager, on June 10, 1972, and a sister, Ruth Lash.
She is survived by: her children, Robert L. Seager and wife, Janice, of Belleville, and Karen J. Johnson and husband, Michael, of Lewistown; grandchildren, Shawn and Cody Seager, and Andrea Mohr; great-granddaughter, Sierra Campbell; her siblings, Louise Slee and husband, William, of Florida, and Dr. Stark Lash and wife, Betty, of Wynnewood.
Jane was a graduate of Lewistown High School. She earned her registered nursing degree at Women's Hospital in Philadelphia. Throughout her career she worked in the VA Hospitals, FW Black Hospital and retired from Lewistown Hospital.
She enjoyed volunteer work. She was a member of the Lewistown Hospital Auxiliary, American Red Cross and American Cancer Society. She was a member of Business and Professional Women's Club, Eastern Star and White Shrine.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 24, 2014, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes Inc., Woodlawn, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown, with Pastor Charles Hershberger officiating.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday, at the funeral home.
Interment will take place in Mount Rock Cemetery.
