LEWISTOWN - Arlene M. Lepley, 74, of Lewistown, died at 4:35 a.m. Friday, May 9, 2014, at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.
Born on March 18, 1940, in McVeytown, she was a daughter of the late John Edward and Beaulah P. (Rheam) Matthews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Franklin Lepley Sr., in 1982, and an infant sister, Patricia D. Matthews.
Arlene is survived by: sons, John Franklin Lepley Jr., of Lewistown, and Timothy Michael Lepley and companion, Kerry Byler, of McAlisterville; one granddaughter, Miranda K. Lepley; and two great-grandchildren, Gage P. Paul and Lily E. Lepley.
Earlier in life, Arlene was a nurse's aide at Ohesson Manor for 18 years, retiring in 2001.
She was a Methodist by faith.
She loved her granddaughter, great- grandchildren and her cat, Snickers. She collected Beanie babies and enjoyed watching Western movies and QVC shopping.
A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 13, 2014, at Hoenstine Funeral Home, 75 Logan St., Lewistown, with the Rev. Randy Traxler officiating.
The family will receive friends from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home.
Interment will take place in Lind Memorial Cemetery.
