Kindergarten student Kalynn Brown drops a paint-covered maggot onto her palm. The kindergarten class at Walker Elementary School near Mexico received a special visit from Teddy Stark, environmental educator from the Juniata County Conservation District. Stark talked about the life span of a fly and brought maggots for the children to see. The children then used the maggots to paint pictures by letting them crawl across their paper after being dipped in paint.
