LEWISTOWN - The Lewistown Police Department arrested a man from Armagh Township on several warrants for domestic assault.
According to police, on April 8 police arrested Michael David Blystone Jr., 31, of Armagh Township.
Police said at 2 p.m. on Feb. 11, an officer responded to a report of a woman being assaulted at a Marbil Street address by a man who was no longer at the residence. According to a report, officers arrived at the residence and found a female with a bruise on her face and based on her injuries the officers transported her to Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital. The woman told the officers that her former boyfriend, Blystone, had allegedly punched her in the face during a domestic dispute, according to the report. Police said warrants were issued for Blystone's arrest based on the injuries to the woman and proceeded to check multiple addresses for him.
According to the report, police again responded to a domestic disturbance at a Marbil Street address on March 26. Police said upon arrival officers learned from a female at the home who again reported Blystone had entered her home. According to the report, she reported that he allegedly punched and choked her and took her phone. Police said Blystone fled the scene prior to the police arriving and again warrants were issued for his arrest.
According to the report, police checked several residences in Lewistown Borough, and Granville and Armagh townships in an effort to find Blystone. According to the report, Blystone was located on April 8 in an Armagh Township residence and was taken into custody. Blystone was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Jack E. Miller on two counts of assault and two counts of harassment, police said. According to the report, Blystone was placed in the Mifflin County Correctional Facility.
