To the editor:
I wish to share what I believe are obvious examples of misrepresentation given by almost all liberal Republicans, and quite a few so-called conservatives. The first is that members of the Obama administration, including his Cabinet, should be held accountable for their actions.
Why? They are saying and doing exactly what their boss wants them to do. Does anyone with a brain believe that some flunky, or even Eric Holder, would run an operation like Fast and Furious, without the direct knowledge and approval of our president? How about Hillary and Benghazi with Susan Rice going on TV, with the ridiculous story about a film causing the attack, and the seeming absence of our president?
Now I don't know of the chief's exact location at the time, but I'm sure he was quite busy, helping to fabricate the film story, while surrounded by his top brain trust. He didn't seem to know much about the whole thing, but he did know enough to go before the United Nations and give the false film story. How about Kathleen Sebelius and Obamacare? He lies and she swears to it.
Of course our president knows nothing about the IRS targeting conservative groups, to deny tax-exempt status in an election year, but he vowed to get to the bottom of it. (He should look to the top) but somehow knows that not a smidgeon of evidence exists, pointing to wrongdoing. Of course we all believe him, but if he wants to put this phony scandal to rest, why not have all the requested information released, and after its release, let's have Lois Lerner testify.
Mr. President, I suppose you don't have the constitutional authority to do about anything else you wish to do. We constantly hear stories about the tyrant in the Senate, Harry Reid, who blocks about all legislation sent from the House, and will not even bring legislation offered by Senate Republicans to the floor. Is he going against our president? Right!
Also, when any cabinet member, department head, agency head and basically any official gets caught in any controversial situation, our president, like Sergeant Shultz of "Hogan's Heroes," knows nothing.
Now I'm not saying that the above-noted persons are being forced to be part of the ruination of our nation, but I do believe that they are fellow travelers and the exact socialist people our president wants. Now as to almost all the GOP-elected officials and talking heads, including Bill O'Reilly and Shawn Hannity, they seem to justify all the sinister moves of our president by saying that he doesn't know how to govern, doesn't understand economics, doesn't understand foreign policy and can't possibly understand the plight of the common man, since he lived such a pampered life and never had a real lunch bucket, roll-up-your-sleeves type job.
Bill O'Reilly many times has said that the president means well, but just doesn't get it, doesn't understand, and seems to act as a socialist but isn't one.
Shame on you all for giving who I believe is a dedicated totalitarian despot such an easy way out. You people compare our president to the proverbial mushroom who is kept in the dark and is fed nothing but junk from his underlings. Come on.
My opinion is that our president was raised a radical and remains a radical. As for his competence, he is not stupid, but I don't think that matters because he knows where he wants our country to go, and he's surrounded himself with the brain trust he needs to get us there and if he succeeds, we'll look a lot more like Venezuela than like the U.S. that we've long since taken for granted.
Our president has really only one superior talent and that is public speaking with the use of a prompter. He's not all that different from the TV pitchman who says, "But wait, we'll double your order, just pay additional shipping and handling," and the additional charges end up costing about the same as buying two in the beginning. Of all the big-name talk show hosts, only Mark Levin and Rush Limbaugh got it right from the very beginning. Please recall Rush saying that he hoped President Obama fails. Meaning, fails to do what he planned to do to our country. Unfortunately our president has succeeded to a great degree in the ruination of this country, to the point that many former supporters are finally waking up. His job approval rating of 38 percent (36 percent on health care) represents his left-wing, hard-core base, and even the unions are figuring out what a counterfeit he really is. Any knowledgeable Democrat, any elected Democrat about county level, has to realize just how terrible our current administration really is and their slogan should be, "We have met the enemy and they are us."
I sincerely hope that the 38 percent approval doesn't include one good thinking person in the Mifflin/Juniata area.
