LEWISTOWN - Helen Kathleen Kline, formerly of Peace Drive and South Wayne Wayne Street, Lewistown, passed away peacefully at 5:45 a.m. Tuesday, April 1, 2014, at Phoebe Allentown Health Care Center.
Born on Oct. 5, 1914, in South Fork, she was a daughter of the late Warren and Violet (Paul) George.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Sherman H. Kline, whom she shared 48 years of marriage; a brother, Paul George; and three sisters, Esther Eisenhower, June Shatzer and Betty George.
Helen is survived by: her daughters, Judith A. Berrier and husband, Grey, and Jane E. Hetrick and husband, Martin, both of Allentown; six grandchildren, Grey Berrier and wife, Mary, Gayle Velky and husband, Len, Craig Berrier and wife, Kathy, Brian Hetrick and wife, April, Jeffrey Hetrick and wife, Jen, Karen Saraullo and husband, Paul; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Earlier in life, she was employed at the American Viscose Corp.
She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and Friendship Sunday school class for more than 50 years. She also volunteered in the nursery at the church. She also was a member of Lewistown Chapter No. 283 Order of Eastern Star for more than 50 years and volunteered at Happy House and the Lewistown Hospital.
Helen loved her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, gardening, camping, family gatherings and traveling.
A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday, April 7, 2014, at Trinity United Methodist Church, Lewistown, with the Rev. Kari Swigart officiating.
The family will receive friends from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Monday, at the church.
Interment will take place in Juniata Memorial Park.
