Domestic dispute - 10:30 p.m. - March 30 - Police said an altercation involving five people occurred at 19 Montgomery Ave., Lewistown Borough. According to a report, officers learned that a injured person had fled the residence on foot. Police said as officers were interviewing several people inside of the residence, the man who had fled the residence, Robert Hielema, 48, was found on Walnut Street and was taken to the Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital by Fame EMS. According to the report, it was determined that Hielema had been hit in the head by a club and a toy causing minor injuries. Police said they arrested Sylvia Forshey, 53, and David Domain, 33, for simple assault.
Theft - March 19 - Police said Raymond Sassaman III, 37, of Lewistown, was charged with theft, criminal mischief and receiving stolen property. According to a report, Sassaman was charged as a result of an investigation into the theft of tools from a Valley Street garage and tires from a motorcycle that was located on West Fourth Street. Police said Sassaman was arrested and placed in the Mifflin County Correctional Facility to await court action.
Theft - March 31 - Police said a novelty light pole was stolen from a residence at 46 Crossover Drive, Lewistown. According to a report, the light pole has a silhouette with a man leaning up against the pole. Anyone with information regarding the theft is asked to call 248-1900 ext. 612.
