LEWISTOWN - William Robert "Bill" Frazee Jr., 78, of Lewistown, died Sunday, March 30, 2014, at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.
Born July 21, 1935, in Lewistown, he was the son of the late William R. Frazee Sr. and Marie (Frances) Frazee.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Eleanor T. (Taylor) Frazee, on Jan. 4, 2009.
He is survived by: his children, William R. Frazee III, of Perry Point, Md., John Taylor Frazee and wife, Dawn, of Hyde Park, N.Y., Teresa Marie Frazee, of Jane Lew, W.Va.; three grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and a sister, Nancy Marie Frazee Hale, of Lewistown.
Bill was a 1953 graduate of Lewistown High School, and a 1961 graduate of Millersville State Teachers College, where he received a bachelor's degree in science.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served during the Korean Conflict on the USS Bennington.
Bill was an Industrial Arts Teacher for 25 years at Rumson Fair Haven Regional High School in Rumson, N.J., where he was a wrestling coach for 14 years. He was a designer of stage productions from 1958 to 2000 at Rumson Fair Haven Regional High School and also did professional and amateur productions.
He was a member of the Mifflin County Planning Commission from 1988 to 1992, and from 1992 to 2007 he was the code enforcement officer for Granville Township, Mifflin Borough and Lewistown Borough.
Bill was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Lewistown where he served as Junior Warden for 13 years.
He was also a member of the VFW Post No. 7011 and Lewistown, American Legion Post No. 90, Lewistown. He was past master of Mystic Brotherhood Lodge No. 21, F&AM Red Bank, New Jersey, and a member of the Lewistown Lodge No. 205, F&AM.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, April 10, 2014, at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 21 S. Main St., Lewistown, with Father David Zwifka officiating. His family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. April 10, at the church. Private interment will be in St. Mark's Episcopal Cemetery.
