ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - James Thomas Hartland Jr., 63, of Albuquerque, N.M. and formerly of Lewistown, died at 7:42 a.m. Saturday, March 15, 2014, at the Kaseman Presbyterian Hospital in New Mexico.
Born July 26, 1950, in Lewistown, he was the son of James T. Hartland Sr. and the late Patsy L. (Knepp) Hartland, who passed away on June 28, 2004.
James is survived by: his daughter, Shannon Yetter, of Lewistown; grandson, Kaden A. Yetter, of Lewistown; niece, Angela Baer and husband, John, of Linglestown; a nephew, Troy VanDerau and wife, Leslie, of Mechanicsburg; and a sister, Deborah A. VanDerau and husband, Stanley, of McVeytown.

He was a 1969 graduate of Lewistown High School.
He had been employed in construction.
James loved riding his Harley and he loved to make people laugh.
His funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 20, 2014, at Hoenstine Funeral Home, 75 Logan St., Lewistown, with the Rev. John Walters officiating. Interment will be in Juniata Memorial Park.
His family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home.
