Artist Rand Whipple, of Box of Light in Bloomsburg, sets up an iPad for Juniata High School students to create a stop-action film Tuesday. Whipple, part of the Artist in Residency Program, is spending 10 days with students, teaching them how to create stop-action films using famous artists’ work. The films will be used to teach future art students as well. The project focuses on teaching students about media literacy, art history, technology and the connection to the world of publishing. The Perry County Council of the Arts, the Juniata Cultural Arts Committee and the PA Council of the Arts, all fund the program.
