To the editor:
I had a real crazy dream the other night: I was watching TV and there were these people talking in front of microphones - Senators Joe Manchin and Jeff Sessions - and with them was the head of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. And there were all these people standing behind them, the way there always are when politicians speak into microphones. And Manchin was talking and he said the President and Biden and Kerry and John Boehner and Harry Reid were all being detained and that Holder and the head of the FBI and the head of the ATF were all under arrest.
And then the TV showed these pictures of soldiers in Jeeps driving on the streets of Washington. Then Jeff Sessions was talking. I don't remember all the things he said, but I do remember that he said that unions for government workers were no longer legal, and that the corporate income tax was being abolished, and that there would be a complete review of the government's role in health care funding.
Anyway, I turned to another channel and there was this reporter interviewing people in the street, And he asked this guy what he thought about the fact that a group of senators, with the backing of the Army, seemed to have taken control of the government. And the guy said he couldn't answer because he was late for work. So the reporter went over to this other guy and asked him what he thought about John Boehner being arrested, and the guy didn't know who John Boehner was.
So then I switched to NBC, and the anchor was yelling at the camera and swearing like crazy. Which made me nervous enough that I woke up. My wife rolled over, looked at me and said, "What are you smiling about?"
