YEAGERTOWN - A variety of issues were discussed at the Derry Township Supervisors meeting Monday evening.
The board accepted bids by Snedecker Energy for fuel oil/gasoline, Eastern Industries for road materials, Ferguson Water Works for a corrugated metal pipe and Chemung for a plastic pipe. Also:
Accepted the Park Use Application as presented by Skip Royer for Touring Friends Car show to be held July 12
Accepted the Park Use Application as presented by Paul Fagley for Friends of Embassy Fair to be held April 21-28
Acknowledged the Hillside Terrace and Ferguson Valley Water Main Extension projects were not bad for the municipality
Tabled the project of insulating the maintenance shed
Approved the Waters Edge Campground Preliminary/Final Land Development Plan Extension
Approved of Skills to dispose of the old equipment as long as the hard drives are physically destroyed
Did not approve of NBIS Bridge Inspection/Meeting with EADS Group for Feb. 25, at 4 p.m., because the time and date was not convenient
Approved Solicitor Jeffery L. Snook to draft an amendment to the zoning map for the Bowen property
Approved of the Community Development Block Grant bills of PAHRA, County of Mifflin and Mifflin-Juniata Dental Clinic.
The Board of Supervisors announced the Tree Committee meeting set for 4 p.m. today at the township office, the D.T Sewer Authority meeting to be held at 7 p.m. Feb. 24 at the township office, and the D.T. Planning Committee meeting to be held at 1 p.m. Feb. 27 at the township office.
The Derry Township Supervisors meet at 5:30 p.m. on the first and third Monday of each month. Their next regular meeting will be held at 5:30 p.m March 3.
