LEWISTOWN - Richard "Dick" L. Heimbach Jr., 70, of Hawstone Road, Lewistown, died Thursday Feb. 3, 2014, at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.
He was born Sept. 30, 1943, in Lewistown, the son of Ida (Setzler) Heimbach and the late Richard L. Heimbach Sr. He is survived by his companion, Betty M. Ritter.
Also surviving are: children, Charles Heimbach, Sue Ellen Klinger and husband, Jeremy, both of Lewistown, and Kelly J. Hicks and husband, Thomas, of Yeagertown; brothers and sisters, Robert and Zeke Heimbach, both of Lewistown, Viola Philips of Mifflin, Ida Goss, Daniel Heimbach, and Tina Wileman, all of Lewistown; grandchildren, Kylee, Dillon, Chase, Austin, Allison, Mason, Hayden and Daisy and great-grandchildren, Brayden, Brenna, Gracee and Amelia.

Dick worked at Avtex Fibers for 29 1/2 years and sold Christmas Trees for many years at the old Courthouse and Yeagertown. He also worked at Conestoga Cabinets, and as automobile transporter and house painter.
He served in the U.S. Marines during the Vietnam War and was stationed in Cuba during the Cuban Missile crises.
Dick enjoyed collecting John Deere and coins, going to auctions and tractor pulls, the Eagles, Phillies and Penn State games. Most of all, he enjoyed his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday Feb. 17, 2014, at Barr Funeral Home Inc., 120 Logan St. Lewistown, with the Rev. Randy Traxler officiating. Interment will be in Juniata Memorial Park. A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday Feb. 16, at the funeral home.
