Editor's note: The following letter was sent to Ms. Kay A. Hamilton, R.N., M.S., president and chief executive officer of Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital, and a copy submitted to The Sentinel for publication.
To the editor:
Recently I was a patient at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital, when Dr. Dennis Devita performed knee replacement surgery on me. This experience allows me the opportunity to write and tell you that I have found this hospital among the better, if not best, of all the health care facilities I've been in.
I was pleased and impressed by the quality of the service and care. I found the nurses, physical therapy, patient care aides, food service, housekeeping personnel and administration not only professional, but also most important, caring.
I really appreciate everything that was done for me, and would be very grateful if you would pass on my appreciation to everyone concerned.
