LEWISTOWN - Helen Laure Arnold, 85, of Chestnut Street, Lewistown, was taken home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at 11:35 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2014.
Born Oct. 16, 1928, in Huntington, she was a daughter of the late Lambert and Mary (Plank) Wiser.
She is survived by: her daughter, Donna Jean, who resides with her husband, David Hostetter, at 25 Shaw Ave., Lewistown; a granddaughter, Lauren M. Mowry; and a sister-in-law, Beryle Wiser, also of Lewistown.
In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by: her daughter, Mary Jane Arnold, who died in 1981; her husband, James Arnold, who died in 1997; her sister, Edna M. Whitesel; and two brothers, Albert M. and Wesley W. Wiser.
Helen was a 1947 graduate of Juniata High School.
Earlier in life, she worked for 28 years as a clerk at McCrory's in Lewistown and was a housewife.
She was a member of Calvary Bible Church.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 3, 2014, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes Inc., Woodlawn, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown, with Pastors Howard Houtz and John Walters officiating.
Helen's viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday, at the funeral home.
Interment will take place in Juniata Memorial Park.
