BURNHAM - Louise K. Treaster, 94, formerly of Burnham, died at 8 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 18, 2014, at Ohesson Manor.
Born May 14, 1919, in Everett, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Walls) Kinser.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter E. Treaster, on April 9, 1979; a son, Daniel L. Treaster, in October 2003; five brothers; and a sister.
Louise is survived by: her son, David F. Treaster and wife, Gale, of Mifflintown; daughter-in-law, Kathie L. Treaster, of Bellefonte; grandsons, Matthew, Brian, Aaron, Timothy and Eric Treaster; six great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter.
She was a member of the Freedom Avenue United Methodist Church and Kings Daughter Sunday school class. Earlier in life, she taught Sunday school and Bible school.
Louise was a member of the Burnham-Vira Homemaker Club and the Violet Club. She loved raising violets and was talented with crocheting and embroidery.
While residing at Ohesson Manor, she was a member of the Ding a Lings handbell choir and Ohesson Angels. She enjoyed going on outings to various restaurants and never missed Bingo. She also never missed a chance to enjoy her ice cream.
Her funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 24, 2014, at Heller-Hoenstine Woodlawn Funeral Home, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown, with Pastor Michael Sigler officiating. Interment will be in Juniata Memorial Park.
Her family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, at the funeral home.
