LEWISTOWN - Wanda J. 'Pete' VanScyoc, 81, a resident of the Golden LivingCenter-William Penn and formerly of Shaw Avenue, died at 1:44 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2013, at the Golden LivingCenter-William Penn.
Born Sept. 21, 1932 in Derry Township she was the daughter of the late Henny Helwig and Minnie E. (Miller) Cupper.
She is survived by: her husband, Donald R. VanScyoc, Sr. whom she married on June 6, 1954; her children, Jean Baumgardner and husband, Donald, of Alabama, Donald VanScyoc, Jr. and wife, Robin, of McClure, Cathy VanScyoc, of Burnham, Joe VanScyoc, of Lewistown, Terry VanScyoc, of Alabama, Chris VanScyoc, of Alabama; grandchildren whom she loved very much, Shawn, Mary, Carli, Zachary, Stephanie, Jacob, Melissa, Shawna and Shelly; and great grandchildren, Madisyn, Jamie and Abigail.
She was preceded in death by one grandchild, Kristie.
She was a graduate of Derry Township High School Class of 1951 and was employed at the American Viscose Corporation and later a waitress at Red's Diner in Lewistown.
She loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren.
Family will receive friends from 1 to 4 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 28, 2013 at the residence of Bobby and Carli Hammonds, 5 Summit Manor, Lewistown, PA 17044. Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
