LEWISTOWN - Barry L. Marker, 56, of Lewistown, died at 4:48 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2013, at the Penn State Hershey Medical Center.
Born July 30, 1957, in Lewistown, he was the son of Betty J. (Kochenderfer) Marker, of Lewistown and the late Richard A. Marker, Sr.
Barry is survived by: his children, Lee A. Marker and wife Jennifer A. Whitford, of Lewistown; Jeanette K. Freed and husband, Jeromy, of Lewistown; Janine E. Marker, of Reading; seven grandchildren and three step grandchildren.
He is also survived by: his sister, Diane Soltis and husband, Paul, of Duncannon, and his brother, Richard A. Marker, Jr. and wife, Karan, of Harrisburg.
Barry was a graduate of Chief Logan High School Class of 1975 and he attended the Mifflin-Juniata Vo-Tech School where he received the Gold Hammer Award.
He was the owner/operator of B.L. Marker Custom Homes for 15 years; he was a crane operator at Zartman Construction in Northumberland and he had worked at Jeff Curry Limo Services.
He attended the Church of God on Logan Street in Lewistown.
Barry was always willing to help anybody, anytime and was a very good man.
He enjoyed driving motorcycles and cars and liked to help the guys at Victory Auto in Lewistown.
His funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, Dec. 30, 2013, at the Heller-Hoenstine Woodlawn Funeral Home, 200 N. Main Street, with Pastor Scott Reiman officiating. Interment will be in Maitland Church of the Brethren Cemetery.
His family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
