McCLURE - Middleburg Police Department said on man has been charged after threatening and recklessly endangering another person with a rifle.
According to a report from police, 37-year-old Zane Zimmerman, of McClure, appeared on the front porch of 25540 U.S. 522, in McClure Borough and pointed a rifle at Andrew Hoy and a male juvenile.
Police said the incident seemed to have started at MCS Bank in McClure at 1:16 a.m. on Thursday, when Hoy reported being threatened with a rifle. Hoy and the juvenile then went to the residence where they became involved in an altercation with several males and females at the residence, according to the report. Police said it was then that Zimmerman appeared on the porch of the residence.
Police said Zimmerman was taken into police custody and arraigned through Magisterial District Judge Leo Armbrustor's office on charges of terroristic threats, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, harassment and disorderly conduct. More charges are pending depending as the investigation continues, according to the report.
