LEWISTOWN - Andrew Ray Shafranich, 25, of Philadelphia and Mattawana, went to be with the Lord, at 9:47 p.m. Dec. 16, 2013, at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.
Andrew was born on July 23, 1988, at Lewistown Hospital.
He was the son of Andrew and Brenda (Adams) Shafranich, of Mattawana. He married his high school sweetheart, Kathryn (Wilson) Shafranich, on July 22, 2013.

In addition to his family and wife, he is survived by: grandparents, Donald and Florence Adams, of Mattawana, Donna Sunday and the late William Sunday, of Milroy, and Joseph and Kathy Shafranich, of Bellefonte; aunts and uncles, Susan Royer, of Mattawana, Scott Royer, of Lewistown, Richard and Cathy Wible, of Mattawana, Pearl Branstetter, of Lewistown, Joseph Shafranich, of Port Royal, Steven Shafranich, of Lewistown, Rhoda Shafranich and Lisa McCullough, of Lewistown, Rhonda Shafranich, of Baltimore, Md., Steve and Susan Kauffman, of Lewistown, and Nikki Shafranich, of Bellefonte; and many cousins and their children who will also miss Andrew greatly.
Andrew graduated from Lewistown Area High School as a distinguished honor roll student in 2006. Andrew participated in track and cross country during his high school years. He attended Philadelphia University College from 2006 to 2010, graduating Summa Cum Laude in 2010 with a bachelor's degree in accounting. He also was the president of the PhilaU Accounting Society. Andrew then went on to acquire his CPA license in July 2012.
He resided in Philadelphia with his wife, Kathryn, and was employed by Bush, Teosky, Goodman, Feldman LLC, in Huntingdon Valley, Philadelphia. He also was program director of Community Accountants, a nonprofit organization. He loved his career and helping others, and achieved many other awards and certificates.
In life he also loved his wife and their dog, Pedro, family members and friends, the outdoors, hunting, motorcycles, ATVs, cars, snowboarding, the ocean, gym, the Philly food scene, the Phillies and helping others.
He was a very special person and son who touched many. He is an angel who was called home far too soon. He will forever be sadly missed but never forgotten.
Funeral services for Andrew will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 21, 2013, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Woodlawn, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown, with the Rev. John Walters officiating.
A viewing will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 20, at the funeral home.
Interment will take place in Hertzler Cemetery, Mattawana.
