LEWISTOWN - The Juniata Valley will be blanketed with another 2 to 3 inches of snow Tuesday morning, the National Weather Service in State College said in a winter weather advisory issued Monday.
The advisory is in effect from 2 to 10 a.m. Tuesday for Mifflin, Juniata, Perry and Snyder counties. A separate advisory including Huntingdon County is in effect from midnight until 8 a.m. Tuesday.
The NWS said a fast-moving Alberta clipper - an area of low pressure coming from Canada - will bring the 2 to 3 inches of snow to the area beginning early Tuesday morning, causing hazardous road conditions. Some locations could see as much as 4 inches of snowfall, the NWS said.
Temperatures are expected to be in the teens to around 20 degrees with southeasterly winds of 5 to 10 mph.
