MIFFLIN - Kathleen K. Nash, 70, of Mifflin, died at 4:05 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 17, 2013, at Ohesson Manor, Lewistown.
Born on June 4, 1943, in Chicago, Ill., she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Jean (Nowak) Kaczkowski. On April 18, 1974, she married her surviving husband, William H. Nash, with whom she spent more than 39 years of marriage.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a brother, Frank Kaczkowski and his wife, Vicki, of Mahwah, N.J.
Mrs. Nash was a 1967 graduate of the University of Illinois.
She was a member of the St. Jude's Catholic Church, Mifflintown, where she served as CCD teacher, choir director, children's choir director and Cantor. She was also a member and former president of the Kiwanis Club of Juniata County.
Kathy loved her cats, Buster and Sugar. She was an avid quilter who enjoyed her retreats each April at the Wesley Forest Quilting Camp, near Mifflinburg. She also enjoyed her summer religious outings in Cape May, N.J. and Wernersville.
She was a registered pharmacist and began her career in the Chicago area prior to relocating to Pennsylvania, where she worked at several local pharmacies and hospitals throughout her career, before retiring earlier this year from the Mifflintown Pharmacy.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2013, from St. Jude's Catholic Church, Mifflintown, with the Rev. William M. Weary officiating. Interment will be private.
The viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, at the church.
The Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 100 Bridge St., Mifflintown, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
The family will provide all funeral flowers and asks that memorial contributions in Mrs. Nash's memory be made to St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church, Building Fund, P.O. Box 187, Mifflintown, PA 17059.
