LEWISTOWN - The newly published hardback book "Juniata Valley Landmarks & Legends" has arrived from the publisher and is now available at the office of The Sentinel, located at the corner of Sixth Street and Summit Drive in the Pleasant Acres neighborhood of Lewistown.
Pre-ordered books may be picked up during office hours, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and The Sentinel is in the process of mailing books to those who requested shipping at the time the books were ordered.
There are also extra copies available for sale. The cost is $24.95.
'Landmarks & Legends'
The 148-page book contains stories and photographs of the landmarks and legends that make the Juniata Valley unique, most of which were previously published in The Sentinel and are now collected in one volume. The contents include the best stories from The Sentinel's most popular Juniata Valley magazine, the "Landmarks, Legends and Folklore of the Juniata Valley," edition published in 1999, as well as other stories, excerpts and photographs that depict the Juniata Valley's rich heritage.
