GRANVILLE - Paul J. "Pap" Dickson, 89, of Granville, died at 7 a.m. Monday, Oct. 21, 2013, at Malta Home.
Born on March 23, 1924, in Lewistown, he was a son of the late Elmer and Doris (Miller) Dickson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, eight sisters, and a son, Richard "Rick" Dickson on Nov. 30, 2011.

He is survived by: wife, Sara (Forshey) Dickson; children, Ken Dickson and wife, Doris, of Strodes Mills; stepson, Fred Confer and wife, Nerissa, of Ashland, Ohio; daughter-in-law, Linda Dickson, of McVeytown; seven grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; five stepgreat-grandchildren; and a sister, Ethel Specht, of McVeytown.
Paul served in the U.S. Navy from 1943 to 1946, earning an American Theater Ribbon, Pacific Theater Ribbon and a Victory Medal.
Paul retired from Marlette in 1986 and later, worked part time for Marlette, Fisher's and Jamesway.
He attended Windy Hill Bible Church and had been a member of Strodes Mills Baptist Church.
Paul enjoyed time with his family, especially going to the races and just really enjoyed being around people.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2013, at Hoenstine Funeral Home Inc., 75 Logan St., Lewistown, with Pastor Jim Everly officiating.
A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 28, at the funeral home.
Interment with VFW Post 7011 honors will take place in Juniata Memorial Park.
