We are proud to endorse Teresa Hobbs, Democratic candidate for Mifflin County Treasurer. We believe she has all the skills, training, education and experience sought after to be a successful administrator of the office.
Teresa was Compliance and Operation's Officer for the Pennsylvania Credit Union Association where she counseled, trained and advised credit union CEOs, Board of Directors and staff on financial compliance and day-to-day functions. Her accounting experience includes accounts payable and receivable, payroll, tax reporting, and bank reconciliation. She is knowledgeable in the Bank Secrecy Act which includes anti-money laundering and risk management in loss prevention.
Her education includes attending Shippensburg University, achieving an Associates Paralegal Degree with a 3.865 G.P.A. and completing the Judge/Bradley PSU Leadership Training Certification. Her college education includes classes in business law, employment law and ethics.
Teresa has been a resident of Mifflin County for 25 years with her husband Rod of 33 years and their children, Josh and Kali.
In these past several months, we have come to personally know Teresa through working on her campaign. She has shown to be friendly, reliable, trust worthy, responsible, intelligent and a hard worker with new ideas. She has demonstrated true leadership characteristics.
This election, we have an opportunity to bring fresh eyes with a new perspective to an important county office. This is where Teresa's unique background will be beneficial. We believe she has all the qualifications desirable to be an effective county treasurer.
