Donald L. ‘Donnie’ Folk

ALTOONA - Donald L. "Donnie" Folk, 65, of Lewistown, died at 11:20 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 13, 2013, at Altoona VA Hospital.

Born on July 3, 1948, in Lewistown, he was a son of the late Berton L. and Olivia (Knouse) Folk.

Donnie is survived by: wife, Linda (Marker) Folk; daughter, Paiton Milbourne and husband, Rodney, of Abingdon, Md.; stepchildren, Jeremy Farleman and companion, Susan Stuver, of Hollidaysburg, Tiffany Zaluski and husband, Pat, of Lewistown, and Joshua Farleman, of Ebensburg; grandchildren, Evan and Lauren Milbourne, of Md.; and step grandchildren, Lynkala Farleman and Shannon Farleman, of Lewistown.

Also surviving are his siblings, Berton E. Folk and wife, Deb, of Reedsville, Robert Folk and wife, Sandy, of Mifflintown, Russell Folk, of Lewistown, Raymond Folk, of Port Royal, Paul Folk and wife, Karen, of Harrisburg, Ruth Bender and husband, Dave, of Burnham, and Alan Folk Sr. and wife, Janice, of Lewistown.

He served in the U.S. Army from 1966 to 1969 and then was very active in the National Guard, working full time.

Donnie worked as a machinist at: Standard Steel, Gettig Technologies Inc., Spring Mills, Industrial Piping Systems and Lewistown Manufacturing.

He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed the outdoors, camping, baking and eating. Donnie was an avid Penn State and Pittsburgh Steelers fan.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 18, 2013, at Hoenstine Funeral Home, Inc., 75 Logan St., Lewistown, with Major Herbert Hamilton officiating.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17, at the funeral home.

Interment will take place with VFW military honors at Juniata Memorial Park.
