RICHFIELD - A Thompsontown man was charged with simple assault in June and also was charged for violating a protection from abuse order three weeks later, police said.
Pennsylvania State Police Lewistown said Jasen Benjamin Eby, 33, of Thompsontown, pointed a gun at a 31-year-old Richfield woman and threatened to shoot her after he pushed her onto a bed around noon on June 15, at 1742 Sand Valley Road in Monroe Township.
The children of Eby and the 31-year-old were in the residence during the altercation, police said.
According to the report, Eby let the woman go and proceeded to damage some property at the residence. Police said Eby injured himself while damaging the property and left the scene to receive medical help.
Eby was charged with simple assault and terroristic threats through Magisterial District Judge Barbara M. Lyter's office.
Police said at 12:41 p.m. Sunday, Eby sent a photo and text message to the 31-year-old woman's cellphone in violation of a protection from abuse order.
Eby was charged with indirect criminal contempt, also through Magisterial District Judge Lyter's office.
