LEWISTOWN - Mildred M. "Mam Mam" Coutts, 83, of Lewistown, and formerly of Fairless Hills, departed this earth to be with her Heavenly Father at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 28, 2013.
Mildred was born on March 27, 1930, in Sagon "Hickory Ridge," to the late John and Mary (Forceskie) Pita.
She was the loving wife of John S. Coutts for 66 and a half years.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are: her sons, John R. Coutts and wife, Joyce, of New Hope, and Jeffrey A. Coutts and wife, Karen, of Harleysville; daughters, Bette J. Trubl and husband, Mark, of Glendale, Ariz., and Georgette M. O'Donnell and husband, Peter, of Lewistown; grandchildren, Timmie John, of East Canton, Ohio, Eric John, of Vail, Ariz., Jonathan Coutts, of Atlanta, Ga., Jaclyn Greiser, of Savannah, Ga., Kelly O'Donnell, of Harrisburg, Amy Roberti, of Washington, D.C., Jeana Coutts, of Denver, Brian O'Donnell, of Houserville, and Laura Coutts, of Harleysville; sister, Kathy Sopp, of Parkton, Md.; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her brother, John "Junior" Pita, and a grandson, Jeffrey John.
Mam Mam loved playing Bingo and going to the casino. She loved watching sports and especially enjoyed watching her grandchildren participate in activities. She was known to say "So long as you try to do the best you can, that is good enough."
She also loved reading and cooking for her family. Her favorite shows were "All My Children" and "Wheel of Fortune."
Mam Mam was always a confidant to anyone who needed her ear. She truly loved her family and we are all blessed to have been able to love and be loved by her.
Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
