BUFFALO, N.Y. - Rose Marie Carolus, 76, passed away May 16, 2013, at Buffalo General Hospital, Buffalo, N.Y.
She was born Oct. 7, 1936, in Lockport, N.Y., to the late Leo and Virginia (Floyd) Borner.
Rose was predeceased by her husband of 51 years, Donald Carolus, and was co-owner of Carolus Tax Service for 41 years. She also worked as a lab technician for R.J. Reynolds for a number of years and was a permanent camper at Niagara County Camp Resort for more than 20 years, where she ran the 50/50 drawings. Rose also enjoyed a day at the casino.

She is survived by: her son, Mitchell (Maureen) Carolus, of Lockport, N.Y.; grandchildren, Adam (Stephanie) Carolus, Jason Carolus and Holly Wilkinson; stepgrandchildren, Amanda, Elizabeth and Stacey Cuzzacrea; her brother, Leo (Noreen) Borner; three sisters-in-law, Delores (Teglash) Borner, Kathryn (Ken) Becker and Debbie St. Cyr; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Rose was predeceased by her brothers, George and Albert Borner, and sister, Carol Borner.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, May 24, 2013, at Ross Funeral Home Gaul Chapel, 263 East Ave., Lockport, N.Y.
Friends may visit from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home.
